After three decades of legal experience, including the Department of the Interior, the Environmental Protection Agency, the American Petroleum Institute and a major international energy law firm, in late 2005 I formed Deal Consulting & Dispute Resolution, LLC.

I offer clients royalty counseling and expert witness services, regulatory consulting and dispute resolution with a heavy emphasis on federal natural resources and environmental matters.

In the royalty counseling domain I remain centrally involved in federal royalty management matters, serving as vice chair of the Department of the Interior’s Royalty Policy Committee, a federal advisory committee. In addition, I regularly serve as an expert witness in oil and gas royalty litigation in federal court cases involving both federal and private oil and gas leases. See Royalty Counseling.

In the mediation domain, I am a trained, certified and practicing mediator on diverse commercial, school and community issues. I am also a trained arbitrator. See Dispute Resolution.
